JOSHUA GREEN
DIRECTOR & LEAD EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST
Accidents, diseases, hereditary conditions and pain all have a story. It’s my passion to unravel their origin and use my experience, in conjunction with exercise, to help heal people and restore their function, strength, mobility and quality of life.
From beginning my journey as a personal trainer, I’ve helped people change their lives both physically and psychologically, together experiencing their struggles and successes, sharing them as my own. Working as a personal trainer has shaped and molded my desire to help people achieve the goals they thought previously impossible or out of reach. Following this I knew I needed to take the next step and become an Exercise Physiologist.
Becoming an Exercise Physiologist has allowed me to help people from all walks of life to regain their control, independence and confidence within their own body. Our successes range from (but are not limited to) weight loss, controlling diabetes, recovering from surgery (joint, open heart and keyhole surgeries), regaining full range of motion and strength to a joint and as complex and difficult as improving quality of life and daily function for a spinal cord injury patient.
My promise to you is that your weaknesses, diagnoses, injuries, or hereditary conditions do NOT have to define you. You’re in control.
My job and passion is to help you realise that.

I have a great passion for promoting movement to help improve both your physical and mental health. My philosophy is that there is no “right way” to exercise and that the best form of exercise for you, is one that you will enjoy and will continue to do; whether it be weight lifting, circuit training, yoga or going for a run.
I have experience in musculoskeletal rehabilitation, chronic pain management, chronic disease management and neurological disease management. I also have a large interest in women’s health and I am committed to promoting exercise for women of any life stage and of all ages!
I love learning how each person’s unique story shapes who they are today, and I always tailor my treatment to best suit the individual, not only for their condition, but for their interests and experiences.
In my own time I love weight lifting, boxing and going for long walks with my dogs!

WHAT IS AN EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST?
An Exercise Physiologist (EP) is a university trained allied health practitioner. In the same category of practitioners as Physiotherapists or Chiropractors. Although the main difference between Exercise Physiologists and other allied health practitioners is that we primarily use exercise as our main means of intervention.
Exercise physiologists are equipped with the knowledge, skills and competencies to design, deliver and evaluate safe and effective exercise interventions for people with acute, sub-acute or chronic medical conditions, injuries or disabilities.
Our scope of practice allows us to treat pathologies ranging from cardiovascular, metabolic, neurological, musculoskeletal, cancers, kidney, respiratory / pulmonary and mental health, and any other conditions for which there is evidence that exercise can improve the client’s clinical status
